Our work broadly focuses on discovering and supporting novel ways in which people with chronic medical conditions can become more engaged in their own self-care and health promotion through self-management support, measurement science, digital health applications, and mind-body and behavioral interventions.
We greatly value the wisdom of our community partners in our work, which helps us think outside of the "ivory tower box" that we can find ourselves trapped in sometimes. Through team science collaborations, we are able to create, validate, and disseminate implementable health care solutions that won't just wind up in an academic journal that no one will read, but will instead be effective, actionable, scalable, economical, and relevant. |
