Welcome!
Flourishing is characterized by the life-long process of being curious and open to our experiences and how we might learn and grow from them; the practice of showing up to our lives with authenticity and engaging in personally meaningful and purpose-driven pursuits; and being mindfully awake, aware, and connected to ourselves, others, and the world in which we live.
Our research lab is dedicated to better understanding the role of flourishing on human health, the health of our society, and the health of our planet, including ways in which flourishing can be learned and practiced as a health behavior or skill and maintained throughout our lives.

Our work broadly focuses on discovering and supporting novel ways in which people with chronic medical conditions (especially cancer) can experience regular moments of flourishing through becoming more engaged in their own self-care and health promotion through self-management support, measurement science, digital health applications, and mind-body and behavioral interventions.
