SMART: Using SMART Design to Improve Symptom Management Strategies Among Cancer Patients
This study is testing the sustainability of two evidenced-based complementary therapies (reflexology and mindfulness) using the sequential management assignment randomized trial (SMART) design on outcomes of fatigue severity, depressive symptoms, and anxiety to determine the relative effectiveness of these therapies and the characteristics of responders and non-responders to each therapy.

Health Promotion During Residency (HPDR)
This is a randomized controlled clinical trial examining the effects of a brief, mindful awareness training intervention (called a PIT STOP) with first year medical residents on outcomes of stress, burnout, self-compassion, and performance on simulation of an internal jugular line insertion compared to a placebo control (health promotion video). In this study participants wore a wearable sensory device to measure physiological outcomes during their simulation procedure. See the "Resources and Tools" section for materials and information on the PIT STOP practice. |
